Heart Diagnostic Procedures

Heart Diagnostic Procedure India, Cost Heart Diagnostic Procedures India, Heart Diagnostic Test India, Heart, Heart Diagnostic Procedures, Heart Diagnostic India , CHFHeart attack patients may be asked to undergo a number of diagnostic tests and procedures. By learning what these tests are and why they're being done, you'll feel more confident. These tests are important and help the doctor determine if a heart attack occurred, how much your heart was damaged and also what degree of coronary artery disease (CAD) you may have. Your heart attack may have been the first symptom that you have CAD. The tests screen your heart and help the doctor determine what treatment and lifestyle changes will keep your heart healthy and prevent serious future medical events.

There are "non-invasive" and "invasive" diagnostic tests. Non-invasive tests don't involve inserting needles, instruments or fluids into the body. Invasive procedures can include a simple needle prick for a blood test or shot, insertion of a tube, device or scope and major surgeries such as open-heart surgery.

Some of the greatest medical advances in recent years have come in the area of diagnostic procedures that allow doctors to see inside the heart and to evaluate how blood flows through the heart's chambers and major blood vessels.

Procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angiography, Electrophysiology Studies and nuclear cardiology allow doctors to diagnose heart and blood vessel conditions with greater precision and accuracy. This, in turn, offers patients a greater potential for a rapid, uncomplicated recovery from surgery or other treatment for heart and vascular disorders.

Diagnostic procedures available at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute include : -

  • Angiography
  • Arrhythmia diagnosis
  • Cardiovascular Intervention Center
  • Echocardiography, including transesophageal echocardiography, pacing echocardiography and stress and dobutamine echocardiology
  • Electrocardiograms
  • Electrophysiology Laboratory
  • Genetic risk assessment
  • Heart Watch
  • Nuclear Imaging
  • Stress testing
  • Tilt table studies

Heart diagnostic Procedures : -

Heart Diagnostic Procedure India, Cost Heart Diagnostic Procedures India, Heart Diagnostic Treatment, Heart Information CenterHeart diagnostic Procedures available today can show doctors if you have heart or vascular disease. Or, if you already know that you have heart disease, these Heart diagnostic Procedures can show doctors if your disease is getting worse. Many of these Heart diagnostic Procedures produce "pictures" of your heart.

Heart diagnostic Procedures are more reliable than others, especially for detecting coronary artery disease. Your doctor will decide which test is best for you, based on your symptoms, your medical history, and your history of disease.

If you have Heart procedures, those risks may be greater. Patients with heart disease have a higher risk of developing deep-vein thrombosis, a blood clot that can form after surgery and create a dangerous blockage in the bloodstream. The anesthesia used to keep surgical patients unconscious can also cause problems when your heart is not strong enough

Treatment

In this treatment, blood is withdrawn using catheters (small tubes) inserted into veins in the arm, leg, or neck. The blood is then passed through a filter that removes excess fluid and is returned to the body. Studies have shown that ultrafiltration can remove more fluid at a faster rate than medication. The length of each treatment depends on the rate at which fluid can be removed from the body and the amount that must be removed.
